I had planned to do a weekly deals post last week, but then life got in the way. I was at a conference and things didn’t go as planned, so I really didn’t have the time to make the post. And as you will all understand, this is not something I can prepare in advance. So, with apologies, but here’s this week’s edition…and it’s another great one!
Welcome to this week’s hot new releases, 99c deals, and freebies in gay romance! All deals are valid today, Saturday October 27th in the US and the UK, but they may not be valid tomorrow or in all Amazon stores. Please check the price before buying!
This is not a paid list or ads, but simply deals I’ve found and books I’m excited about reading, so all personal recommendations from me. If you have a book you’d like to see listed, you can submit it, but that’s not a guarantee I’ll list it.
New Releases
Because I missed a week, we have a long list of new releases!
Alpha’s Pride – Nora Phoenix
Because I missed last week’s deals, I never got to list my own recent release, so here we go. An arrogant alpha, a stubborn beta, and a sassy omega stumble into love in Alpha’s Pride, the fourth book in the Irresistible Omegas series. There’s sexy banter, someone’s getting his ass handed to him, there’s joy and tears and a whole lot more.
Forever and Ever – Devon McCormack
First of all, I have to give major credit to Devon here for doing something completely different than his usual stuff, which is awesome, by the way. Forever and Ever is a story of two seniors in a retirement community falling in love, and it’s ballsy and gutsy and I cannot wait to read it.
The Truth Within – Sloane Kennedy
I’m a big fan of Sloane’s books, but this series has been her best for me. I’m a little behind on my TBR because I released two books myself and was gone for a conference, but The Truth Within is high on my list. It has an age difference, broken men, a protector-role, and a whole bunch of other things that make me want to dig in right now.
In the Lion’s Den – Abigail Kade
I had the privilege of beta reading In the Lion’s Den and it’s so good, completely different than what I’ve read so far. Nial is sent to a shifter prison for a crime he didn’t commit, and there, he meets Ze, who turned out to be his mate. There’s intrigue, world building, some steamy scenes, and some unexpected twists and turns. Loved it.
do you think we should have glued it first? – Bobbie Rayne
And now for something completely different… do you think we should’ve glued it first is a gay YA novel, written by Michele Notaro writing as Bobbie Rayne, and while I haven’t read it yet, I’m told it’s funny, lighthearted, and delightful. It’s the perfect Halloween read and if you have teens, they may appreciate it it, too.
Teddy and His Bear – Andi James and Lila Wilde
I already mentioned this one in the mini reviews I did on daddy kink, but I wanted to make sure you guys spotted this one. Teddy and His Bear is a super sweet, slow burn, yet sexy romance with an age difference (May/December…and you all know how much I love that trope, haha!) and daddy kink without age play or ABDL. Teddy and his daddy are the best, and I simply didn’t want this book to end.
Deadly Lover – Jocelynn Drake
Deadly Lover ticked all my boxes when I read the blurb: law enforcement, hitman, snark, suspense, and a romance. One-click, yes please. Can’t wait to read this one.
99c deals
Here are this week’s best 99c deals…and there’s quite the list! Please double check before buying, as prices can change rapidly.
Beyond the Surface – Felice Stevens
A NYC firefighter, forever changed by 9/11, rekindles his romance with a fashion designer in Beyond the Surface. I loved this first book in the Breakfast Club series for its wonderfully real characters. A feel good romance with strong secondary characters.
Protecting Phoenix – Ivy Oliver
I haven’t read this author yet, but Protecting Phoenix has a fake boyfriend trope with a bodyguard pretending to be a boyfriend, which I’m a sucker for. This is a new release at 99c, so grab it fast ’cause that price won’t last long.
Sex Ed – ZB Heller
Sex Ed is by far the funniest MM romance I have ever read, and I mean that as in laugh-out-loud, don’t-read-while-you’re-eating-or-drinking funny. Seriously, if you need a pick me up, this book will do the job.
The Tinder Chronicles – Alexa Land
First of all, Alexa Land is awesome and writes great books. Second, this is a deal where you get three books for 99c. What more do you need to buy The Tinder Chronicles, haha? Okay, it’s got vampire hunters and steamy sex.
Love Times Five – Lily G. Blunt
If you love poly romances, this should make you happy. Love Times Five is an MMMMM romance (that’s five Ms in case you tried to count) and it’s paranormal, with shifters and more. It’s a fun read with some hot scenes, so grab it while it’s on sale.
Operation Makeover – DJ Jamison
If you’ve paid attention the last few weeks, you should be familiar with this author by now, haha. All the books in this series have been on sale and Operation Makeover is the latest one, a new release at 99c. I’m expecting that price to go up really soon, so be fast. A guy who wants to impress the man he’s in love with for a long time gets a makeover, but develops feelings for the guy who gave him the makeover.
Power Play – Cara Dee
A bunch of Cara Dee’s book are on sale for 99c right now, so I’ll highlight a few I really loved. Power Play was phenomenal, the story of an older man who falls for a younger guy, the son of his friends. Power Play has daddy kink, some kinky sex, really well-developed characters, and it’s so well-written you can’t stop reading.
Auctioned – Cara Dee
Auctioned is a dark tale, let me start with that, and despite what the blurb says, I do consider the ending a cliffhanger, if not a horrible one. But it’s a phenomenal book. It features one of the secondary characters from Power Play, who gets abducted and is then rescued by the man who he develops a complicated relationship with. There will be a sequel, but you’d better grab this one now for this price, just saying.
Noah – Cara Dee
I almost stopped reading this book after the first scene, which I really didn’t like, but I’m so happy I kept reading, because what followed was wonderful. Noah is messy, complicated, a tad taboo (older man falls in love with his sister’s step-son) and kinky, but super satisfying. Loved it. For more books by Cara Dee that are on sale, check her Amazon author page. Home(less) is also super good.
Falling for Him – Riley Knight
Falling for Him is a new release for 99c from a new-to-me author. A man bound to his small town falls in love with a man who travels from town to town with the carnival. Will love be enough to make him stay?
Freebies
The list of freebies was short this week, as in only one book, but hey, the awesome 99c deals kinda make up for that, right?
Love Me Louder – Christina Lee
I love the fake boyfriend trope, and in Love Me Louder, it’s combined with an escort and a broken, vulnerable man. I loved this book so hard.
I’m about 1/3 of the way through “Forever and Ever”, by Devon McCormack. What a delight it is!. It’s so very charming and different, but wonderful different. Two seventy something men who met as children end up in the same retirement community. I love the fact that they’re both ‘out’, and can discuss their lives candidly. I have high hopes that their feelings will end in love. Fingers crossed! xx
Oh, I’m so happy to hear that! It’s at the top of my TBR pile but I wasn’t in the mood for it this weekend. I’m super proud of Devon for writing this, as it’s not what he usually writes…but such a wonderful story by the sounds of it!
I just finished this wonderful novel, wrote my review on Amazon, then noticed your reply here. In my review, I gave it more stars than are in the universe. Oh my! I fell in love with these men. The story is so tender, so full of love and laughs and life. It really is a story for everyone to cherish, no matter which genre they enjoy. Yes, there’s sex, but more intimacy than gymnastics. They are mid-seventies after all!
I’d suggest you find the time to read this lovely and loving novel when you’re in the mood for something special.
I just finished ‘Operation Makeover’ by D.J. Jamison. It’s a feel good book…even though ‘the one he wanted’ isn’t ‘the one he got!’
You know, I like that trope. Because it’s human to think something or someone is the answer to our problems…and then we discover it’s really not. What we want isn’t always what’s best for us, haha!
Loved Teddy, it on your rec and couldn’t put it down and was sad to see it end but can’t wait to see where the series goes.
I know, right? I loved that one. Can’t wait for the next book in that series.
