I’m so excited that my website redesign is done! Doesn’t it look all clean and pretty?
It also means I can get back to blogging, and of course, we’ll start with a new round of mini reviews. I’ve read some amazing books that I want to share with you.
1. On a Midnight Clear – Lily Morton
An English Lord is up to his eyeballs in debt, when a statue from his castle comes to life…and will change his life forever. Oh man, On a Midnight Clear was such a feel good read. Funny, lighthearted, with a touch of magic, this one hits all the happy buttons. Like a cup of tea on a chilly day when the fire is warm inside…
2. The Murder Between Us – Tal Bauer
I loved this one so freaking much. An FBI agent meets the man he shared one magical night with again as he tries to solve a murder. Turns out it’s a fellow agent. With a gritty murder to solve, plenty of suspense, and two men whose chemistry is off the charts, The Murder Between Us was unputdownable.
3. Out: The Complete Collection – Cara Dee
I’d read Out a while back, but I hadn’t read all the extra scenes and content, so this was a lovely reunion with these men. With an age gap, coming out, a touch of humor, wonderful secondary characters, and a feel good ending, this is such a perfect book. Plus, it’s 150k words all in all, so you’re in for a hell of a ride.
4. One Man’s Trash – Marie Sexton
I hesitated a bit before listing this one because it definitely won’t be for everyone. This book is gritty, brutal at times, and needs to come with a shitload of trigger warnings (it doesn’t, at least not in the blurb), including drug use/addiction, self harming behavior, rough sex, sexual trauma, and more. But it’s also deeply emotional, and so, so good. It has some very unconventional content, including sexual sharing, but if you like the more gritty stuff, you’ll love this one.
That’s it for this edition. If you’ve read these books too, let me know what you think! And if not, I hope you’ll love them as much as I do.
