Nora’s Mini Reviews: Four Recent Reads

It’s time for another edition of Nora’s mini reviews. I read some great books lately, so I thought I’d share them with you all. No rhyme or reason to what I read. I just pick whatever I’m in the mood for…

Roommate – Sarina Bowen

I loved this relatively low angst story that combines a roommate situation with first time gay, coming out, some family drama, and incredible chemistry. Her writing style is just so effortless, and I got immediately sucked in. Roommate had great secondary characters and setting as well.

Right as Raine – Lucy Lennox

I can already tell this series will be amazing. I read Right as Raine and Sweet as Honey (the second book in this series) back to back, and I loved the world Lucy created. Right as Raine is the story of a football player who falls for his coach’s son, and it’s a wonderful combination of friends to lovers, with a bit of a forbidden element (coach’s son), but it has so much more. Wonderful chemistry between the characters, the small town Lucy describes is one I wanted to move into right away, and the emotions were so real. Sweet as Honey was just as good, so I’m hooked on this new series.

Unnatural – Alessandra Hazard

Alien omegaverse, I think it’s the best description for Unnatural, and I drank it in like water (well, more like Coke in my case, haha). If you’ve read her Calluvian Royalty series, it’s set in the same world (though on a different planet). We get just enough details to picture the world without it becoming too much. It’s an enemies to lovers with crazy chemistry story, combined with some suspense. Fans of my Irresistible Omegas will love the plot twists about true identity (I don’t want to reveal too much…).

THIRDS series – Charlie Cochet

I’ve been rereading the THIRDS series again, and I’m in awe all over again. This series of ten books is just so freaking addictive. It’s got shifters, hot alpha men, humor, amazing characters, suspense that will have you on the edge of your seat, super hot sex scenes, found family, and more. It’s definitely high angst and quite the adrenaline rush, but so good. I’ll be Dex and Sloane fans forever (the main couple in the series).

So glad you listed both Lucy Lennox and Charlie Cochrane. I have read all of their books and love them both and hopefully this will lead to more readers discovering these wonderful authors.
