In this edition of the mini reviews, I want to highlight four books (or series, as it turns out), I keep rereading because they’re just that good. I’m not a huge rereader because I love discovering fresh, new books way too much, but every now and then I need a comfort reread. These are series or books that I know will make me feel good, will make me happy. So here are four series I keep rereading whenever I need to be happy for a bit. I have a few more that I turn to regularly, but I had to narrow it down…
His Boy Next Door
A young guy falls for his older neighbor and becomes his submissive in His Boy Next Door by R.J. Moray. This series is hella hot, super sexy, kinky, but also sweet, and it just makes me happy. This is a serial, meaning all episodes are short and released separately on Amazon, but you can also buy them in Seasons (one through four are available now). All in all good for hours of (re)reading fun.
Red Dirt Heart
This series by N.R. Walker set in the Australian outback is everything. A rugged, in-the-closet rancher falls for an exchange student from the US in Red Dirt Heart. Watch Charlie and Travis figure things out amidst a setting that comes to life in every word, including amazing supporting characters.
THIRDS
This series by Charlie Cochet has it all: kick-ass action, swoony romance, lots of humor, amazing characters, and shifters who fight the evil in the world. THIRDS is one of those series where I discover something new every time I reread it. All the feels in this one, plus edge-of-your-seat action.
Phoenix Club Series
The Phoenix Club Series by CJ Bishop (who later started writing as A.M. Snead) is one of those series where I can find ten things that are wrong, whether it be questionable editing or over the top storylines and yet it’s addictive as fuck, haha. It’s a series about the men who work as strippers in the Phoenix Club, and it’s sexy, emotional, intense, filthy, and a lot more. I devoured this the first time I read it, and I’ve reread it often by now. It’s super intense and it makes me feel.
I hope you found some great new series here…or that you’re inspired to reread your favorites yourself! What are some of your absolute favorite MM romance series worth rereading?
Love the Phoenix Club!!! Like you say, some issues…but DAMN! Hot as hell and all the feels. And Thirds is amazing too in a completely different way. Will have to put the others on my list.
I’m about to start a next reread of the Phoenix Club. I find myself in the mood for comfort reads at the moment…
I have two of those author’s audiobooks of the 1st book.
I need to re listen to them…🤔
I don’t know why, but I’m rereading a lot at the moment. I need something comfortable, I guess, something I know will make me feel good…
I read the Thirds series. I love The Phoenix series!! But my faves are Thane & Garrett from the Destruction Series by Patricia Logan, Whiskey & Irish by Layla Reyne and Hazard & Somerset are the couple I would follow anywhere by Gregory Ashe.
Oh, new series recommendations, yay! Thank you. Will check these out.
Just reread the Red Dirt Heart series a month ago—it still thrills, even the third or fourth time through. And His Boy Next Door is an addiction of mine that I’ve read more times than I can count. I also love the spin-off, A Collar for His Brat. I’ve been rereading my Amy Lane series the past couple of weeks and would especially recommend both the Johnnies series and the Fish Out of Water series (which crosses over with Johnnies and spawned a new series, the Flophouse), although most of her books aren’t available with KU (but many, even the newest, are available through Hoopla). Lately, with all of the uncertainty in our world, I’ve been choosing to read old favorites as comfort. Next up is your Irresistible Omegas series, in preparation for the release of book 9!
I just reread His Boy Next Door for, like, the fifth time or so. All the feels. I find myself rereading a lot of great books as well. Realy in the mood for comfort reads.
My favorite series are “The Protectors”by Sloane Kennedy and Perfekt Hands.
Thank you! I love the Protectors…
