Surprise Cover Reveal Snowed In Series (+ Giveaway)

December 20, 2019 by Nora

Surprise! Valentine’s Inc. is back and this time, we’re getting snowed in… Get ready for Snowed In – Valentine’s Inc., coming in January and February 2020. We have two new authors in the line up, and we’re super excited to show you all our covers and introduce you to our stories.

If you’ve read the previous two editions of the Valentine’s Inc. series, you’ll be excited about this new round. In the first series, all stories were Valentine’s day themed, and our second, summer edition was all about cruises. In this series, we’re all using the same first line: “Out of all the people in all the world to be stuck in the snow with, it had to be him.”

All books are complete standalones and have nothing in common except that first line, so you can read them in any order.

Cover reveal

Let’s start with the covers, once again made by Vicki Brostenianc.

Super cute and winter-y, right?

And here’s the line up and release schedule:

14 January: Make Snow Mistake – Michelle Frost
16 January: Paper Snowflakes – Sammi Cee
21 January: Snow Regrets – M.A. Innes
23 January: Snow Daze – Pandora Pine
28 January: Snow Job –  Beth Bolden
30 January:  Snowflake Kisses – Jacki James
4 Feb: Snow Way Out –  Nora Phoenix
6 Feb: Ain’t Snow Mountain High Enough – Brittany Cournoyer
11 Feb: Snow One Like You –  Ashe Winters
13 Feb: Snow Way in Hell – Abigail Kade

Tropes

With a first line like that, it won’t surprise you to see that being snowed in aka forced proximity is a recurring trope in each of the books, but we have more:

  • age gap, single dad, and son’s teacher (Paper Snowflakes)
  • stepbrothers and enemies to lovers (Snow Job)
  • second chance romance and friends to lovers (Ain’t Snow Mountain High Enough)
  • age gap, size difference, and a twink who tops (Snow Way Out)
  • size difference and spanking (Snow Daze)
  • enemies to lovers and coworkers (Snow One Like You)
  • daddy kink and former high school crush (Make Snow Mistake)
  • age play, age gap, and friends to lovers (Snow Regrets)
  • enemies to lovers and sexual exploration/experimentation (Snow Way in Hell)
  • small town romance and single dad (Snowflake Kisses)

As you can see, we have something for everyone!

Mini Blurbs

Are you curious what the books are about? Here’s a super short mini-blurb for each of the books:

Make Snow Mistake – Michelle Frost

Unable to make people see past the scar on his face and the teenage mistake that put it there, Cody feels stifled in his small town. When his high school crush blows into his family diner in a swirl of biker leather with a white-out storm on his heels, they end up trapped alone. With Eben’s dark eyes on him, can Cody be brave for the first time in years and take a chance at the life he wants?

Paper Snowflakes – Sammi Cee

There’s something about an older man that drives Cameron wild, but when he’s an amazing father too… swoon-worthy. Teacher Cameron has avoided Ryan, his student’s father, for months, but then Mother Nature steps in and gives him a nudge. The question is, is he brave enough to take his shot at happiness?

Snow Regrets – M.A. Innes

When Joseph gets trapped with his father’s former coworker in one of the worst snowstorms of the year, he starts to wonder what ancient god he must’ve pissed off. After being kicked out of the house at eighteen and having to make his way on his own, the last thing he wants is to be stuck with the sexy older man from his teenage fantasies.

Snow Daze – Pandora Pine

When Hyde, a battle-scarred former marine, takes a job at a posh mountain resort he meets Greer, a geeky moose biologist. When the blizzard of the century strikes and the hotel is evacuated, a certain moose aficionado is left behind with Hyde. Will sparks fly between them or will Greer be left out in the cold?

Snow Job –  Beth Bolden

There’s nobody Micah hates more than his ex-stepbrother, Jake. And nobody he wants quite as desperately. Can he put his resentment—and his longing—aside for long enough to survive the elements that keep forcing them together?

Snowflake Kisses – Jacki James

Newly single father Cap Roberts can’t afford to risk not only his heart but his daughter’s as well by falling for a man who might not even stay in River Gorge. But with the help of a few meddling friends, one determined little girl, and a few snowflake kisses, love is bound to find a way.

Snow Way Out –  Nora Phoenix

Caught in a snow storm, Quentin has no choice but to find shelter with Mac, a man the whole town seems to hate. But nothing is what it seems, and it doesn’t take long before Quentin falls hard for him. But does their connection even stand a chance when he’s half Mac’s size…and wants to come out on top?

Ain’t Snow Mountain High Enough – Brittany Cournoyer

When Adam’s world was torn apart three years before, Rhys was the one who helped make him feel whole again. After Rhys broke his heart, Adam swore to never love again. Could a freak snow storm, a chance encounter, and a shared cabin finally make them come to terms with what had happened? Or will Adam’s heart stay as cold as the ice outside?

Snow One Like You –  Ashe Winters

Coworkers. Enemies. Trapped by a whole lot of snow. Can hidden attractions keep them warm when the power goes out? Valentine’s Inc. employees, Spencer and Angelo, are about to find out if their body heat is enough to survive both the storm raging outside, and the one burning inside their hearts.

Snow Way in Hell – Abigail Kade

Ex-priest Sebastian is finally getting comfortable with his darker sexual urges when he meets Josiah, who’s never been comfy with kink. It’s dislike at first sight. When they’re coerced into a road trip together, neither one is thrilled, but then things go from bad to worse when they wind up lost and stuck in a cabin during a monster snowstorm. Alone for days with only each other for company, the tension between them erupts and these two enemies take the opportunity to explore the dark lust that’s been simmering between them.

I’m more of a spring and summer girl than winter I don’t like cold at all

I love anything that requires as little clothing as possible. That being said, I was stationed in Colorado and enjoyed the snow there, but not the ice I experienced in North Carolina.

I love to play in snow but it’s not as much fun to live in! I live in the desert so I have to travel to see snow which keeps it special!!

  5. Ashley Powell says

    December 20, 2019 at 10:16 am

I’m definitely a summer girl. Living in the South my entire life means rarely seeing snow and when it does happen everything shuts down completely!

  6. Carol Grubb says

I am originally from Baltimore, MD and survived many cold, icy, snowy winters. Five years ago I moved to Las Vegas, NV. I hate being cold and I hated driving in snow. I love the warm and hot low humidity here in the desert. We do have a winter (30-50°) briefly and I can see snow on top of Mt. Charleston through the palm trees. Perfect!

While I like living where we have all 4 seasons, my favorite is fall with the changing colors and, of course, Halloween. I guess I spent too many winters in sleeping bags around kerosene heaters because the power was out from snowstorms when I was younger.

I have a love hate relationship with snow and winter. Love watching the snow fall and seeing the world turn white. Hate it when the sun shines and blinds me making me feel like a vampire never wanting to leave my lair. 😂😂

I hate the snow! I lived in Michigan most my life and snow was the worst. The cold sucks and snow is yucky when it melts. I’m much more of a summer person (why I love in Arizona now). Snow was pretty to look at though.

  18. Jennifer B says

    December 20, 2019 at 10:33 am

I much prefer fall to winter but winter wins hands down over the heat of summer. (I live in the Southeast US). I miss the snow from when I was a little girl. I still get as excited as my kids when it snows more than a flurry here every few years.

  19. Ellie Weir says

    December 20, 2019 at 10:34 am

I love the snow but not the slushy stuff that lasts for days after, yuk! Luckily I live in England so we really don’t get that much but even if you only get a dusting the whole country goes into chaos lol!!

  25. Gayle Offerjost says

    December 20, 2019 at 10:44 am

I love winter – now that I don’t live in it. We lived in Maine prior to Florida and worked/endured winter for 32 years before moving south. Snow as it’s falling is beautiful, snow as it turns to ice or when it has to be shoveled or scraped off the car is atrocious! And when my body conspires against me with reacting negatively to damp cold, I think even hot humid Florida is better if not as pretty! I still love autumn in New England – cool, crisp air and stunning, colorful leaves! 🍂

  26. Sarah says

    December 20, 2019 at 10:47 am

I love the idea of snow. But I think I could only live in areas that get a lot of it if I wasn’t going to be required to actually function like an adult. When I hit the jackpot and get to retire to my hermit life with cats and books and everything delivery though…I’ll pick somewhere snowy 💜

  27. JOCELYN D WHALEY says

I love all 4 seasons which is why after 26 years in Florida I moved back to the great State of Maine. I’ve been back a year with no regrets. I love watching the snow, being out in it and just it’s beauty. I’m super excited that it’s supposed to snow on Christmas. I can’t wait for this series!!!!

I love winter and snow but I also love summer and going to the beach. It doesn’t snow often in Greece, at least in the city where I live, and maybe that’s why I prefer snow a little bit more. I miss it!

  33. Julia Ann Roark says

    December 20, 2019 at 10:58 am

I definitely say NO TO SNOW… It’s cold, it’s messy, and a horror to get around in no matter if it’s walking or driving. I much prefer Autumn. It’s pretty, it’s cool with perhaps a touch of frost, and roads are clear.

  34. Sarah says

  35. Emily Hernandez says

When i was younger I loved snow growing up in New Jersey ! However after I moved to North Carolina and have been he’s for a few years I can say I HATE WINTER ❄️ 🥶!! I’m a summertime girl 🌞!! I love it 💕💕💕 I love the long days the happiness of a beautiful summer day … I feel like people are more cheerful and enjoying the better weather. 38. Renee says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:06 am

I love winter and especially snow but my husband moved us to a state where there’s very little. Supposedly marriage vows say where he goes I go. It’s ok though I listen to Christmas music almost all year long and he deals with that.

  39. Stephanie Carvalho says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:06 am

Well, it doesn’t snow here, and winters are not that cold. So yeah ,definitely one of my Favorite seasons 😍

  40. Elizabeth Marie Marshall says

  41. Colleen Cremen says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:12 am

I only like cold and snow when it snows 3 feet, everything closes down and we have power and plenty of food!
Thank you to all of the authors and everyone who helped put it together,
( Awesome Covers!) for giving us another Valentine’s Inc. !

  42. Debra Edwards says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:14 am

I’m liking it less each year especially if I have to shovel a lot of snow. I love watching it snow but the aftermath isn’t fun. The cold is a good excuse to stay in and read though!

  43. Jessica says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:15 am

I prefer spring or fall due to living in a desert it’s either really frigid or really hot! So mid 70’s to 80’s and I’m a happy clam.

  44. Rachel says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:17 am

Welllll all of these sound amazing! Love the prompt idea. I’m a huge fan of snow – I always want one major snow that shuts us down for a few days and then I’m good lol.

  45. Justine Smith says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:19 am

I don’t mind the snow as long as I don’t have to drive in it. I do enjoy looking at the snow covered mountains.

  46. Ketsia says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:22 am

Snow is great when you have nowhere to go. And can just look at it from inside your warm home. The winter season itself is my least favorite. Although, I enjoy all the food and fun that comes with the holidays.

  47. Shawna Wyland says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:23 am

I like reading about snow, but I live where it snows 9 months out of the year. I’m definitely a summer person and cannot wait until I can move to a warmer climate. It’s too cold and snowy here.

  48. Carrie Ann Dettmer says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:26 am

I love watching it snow, seeing the lovely white stuff in the trees and covering the ground.. It is a totally different story when I have to shovel though. I very seldom have a nice thought in my head then. But what can I say? Snow really makes the Christmas season seem Christmasy !!

  49. Michelle Gallegos says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:29 am

I love snow despite not seeing it very often, living in Texas. My parents were from Pennsylvania so maybe I inherited that…..lol! It just makes the world so pretty!

  50. Mary Brown says

  52. Maria says

    December 20, 2019 at 11:59 am

So I was born and raised in South America (Ecuador specifically) so I don’t deal too well with cold. Having mentioned this, after moving to Spain I have discovered how wonderful it is to be snuggling in the sofa with a warm blanket, hot cocoa in hand, while you watch the snow fall.

  53. kp says

  54. AJ Michaels says

  55. Tatty says

    December 20, 2019 at 12:06 pm

I like the snow, but I don’t like cold or wet weather. Nevertheless, I find winter somehow nice because I can always wrap myself in a blanket and read comfortably. But I am happy every year when it gets warmer.

  56. Marcella says

    December 20, 2019 at 12:20 pm

I love snow. Even though cycling though it can be really difficult and I cycle almost everywhere. We never get all that much snow here so it’s fun while it lasts.

  57. Paul says

    December 20, 2019 at 12:28 pm

  60. Emma Brown says

    December 20, 2019 at 12:39 pm

I love snow so long as there’s enough to mean I don’t have to go to work. I’d rather add more layers as there’s only so many you can take off! Plus winter means roaring fires and more snuggle time.

  63. Joey Michael Valéry-Dülfer says

    December 20, 2019 at 1:17 pm

One of my dearest childhood memories is snow related. In winter my dad had to clear the long stretch of pavement in front of his employer’s building which housed offices, workshops and our official flat very early in the morning. I used to pull my clothes straight over my still warm pyjamas and sneak down to help him. I loved to “work” at his side, feeling useful and all manly doing so.

‘Snow Job’ sound right up my alley!

Having grown up in South Dakota, and lived in Colorado and Utah after that, and then back in South Dakota, I’ve seen my share of snow! And shoveled it too!

Now I’m in Texas and we get very little of it.

The best of both worlds…living in Colorado Springs, where the snow mostly dumped east of us, due to the close proximity to the Rockies. Usually it would snow a few inches, warm up, and melt the next day.

Just beautiful and a taste of winter loveliness.

When I was a child I loved the snow. My dad would always take me to Missouri where his family are from. That way I had two weeks of nothing but snow. We would go on atvs, I’ve skate on the river, and the whole family would split into team and have a snowman contest. Now there was around 100 of us that got together for those two weeks so there was someone always willing to go with me and coin the hill to sled. And maybe I milked being the only girl so I had all my older cousins and some of my uncle’s wrapped lol. Now that I’m older I sit and watch my kids out the window while I am wrapped in my favorite blanket and kindle, and my hot cocoa.

I live in Southern California in the mountains, so I love winter. We get just enough snow for it to be fun and exciting without having to shovel it or dig out the vehicles. I hate the summer when it gets over a hundred out, and we only have a swamp cooler, so it only brings the temp down to eighty degrees. I love the cooler weather; unfortunately, it doesn’t last long enough.

I live on a Caribbean island, was born in Europe almost during the winter. But I lóve winter and snow. Winter time to me equals an open fire, hot coco and two male lovers, huddled together in front of that fire, making out and more 😍 So yes, I love winter 🤓❤️🔥🌈

What I love best about Winter and snow is sitting by a roaring fire (in my wood burning stove that is) with a good book in my hands and reading to my heart’s content. Looking out the window at the sparkling snow falling to the ground gives me a warm, comfortable, and pleasant experience. Daydreaming about heros, lovers, saviors, friends is what has my fantasies fulfilled to the brim. Of course, hot chocolate or mulled spiced wine doesn’t hurt either.

My very favorite season is fall, but now that I’ve moved to Colorado, I’m just getting lots of winter! The snow isn’t as appealing as it was a few months ago, LOL! Anyway, I’m looking very forward to these new stories. 🙂

I like snow most of the time. I just don’t like getting so cold you can’t get warm. Fall is my favorite season.

I only want to see snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The rest of winter should be mild and snow free.

I love snow, and I would love winter a lot more if where I lived we actually got any snow. 99% of our winter weather is just rain.

I love snow! Which is probably a good thing considering I get about 5-7 months of it lol!

I am not a fan of snow at all.

‘Snow’ is four-letter word. It’s perfect on the mountin tops, while I’m warm and cozy in the valley. Love autumn weather.

I prefer spring and the first beginning of fall just before it gets real cold. Overall If I had to choose between being cold or hot I would pick cold.

I get excited about all of the seasons. I try to find the positive in everything. Snow is beautiful to me when it is falling and the whole landscape becomes white. Snow sort of cleanses the area; it makes the world look new again. The only thing that is not my favorite about winter and the snow is the cleanup. I have a snowblower, so the two driveways and pathways don’t look like so much work. At least that is what I tell myself, so I don’t start crying. 😁

Fall is my favorite season, I don’t like the heat haha. I like it warm, not boiling hot and not freezing! I love a good dump of snow. Christmas Eve snow is my fav! Big huge flakes and no wind!

I don’t mind snow the first day. Then its annoying. And I don’t like the cold. Especially this year as I stupidly let myself run out of heating oil and have been without heat and hot water since 23rd December. The tanker man is coming tomorrow. I will then be in the bath for the rest of the year lol
