In case you missed it: I’m working hard on the next Irresistible Omegas book. It will be book seven and I revealed the title last week: Alpha’s Obedience.

Originally, my plan was to write Lucan’s story next, but I ran into some issues when one of his intended mates turned out to be a bit more stubborn than I had counted on…and when someone else was rather loud in my head. Two people, actually. So: change of plans.

Meet Our Main Characters

Remember Naran Watkins? He was the PI Lidon and Palani hired to find Melloni. At first, he couldn’t find him, but then he accepted a job for mobster “Big” Bennett Wyndham to find his son (which turned out to be Ruari). In investigating Big Bennett, he started to suspect the man was behind the kidnapping of Melloni. He told Lidon and Palani he was getting information from a young guard…and then disappeared. He was taken prisoner by Big Bennett and tortured until Lidon and his team rescued Melloni and took Watkins and the young guard back to the ranch. But there’s more to the story of him betraying Lev, not that Naran tells anyone. He doesn’t let anyone close.

Enter Lev Howell, said young guard. When he discovered Watkins had played him, he was furious, but also heartbroken. He’d risked his reputation as an alpha to be with another alpha and to see that blow up was a big hit to him. But then they both end up on the ranch, and Lev is determined to hate Watkins for the rest of his life. That’s easy to do, as Watkins never leaves his room and according to the rumors, is hostile to anyone who even tries to help him. All Lev wants now is to be the alpha he should be, which means finding himself two mates. But Lev has his own issues, and they’re not so easy to figure out…

Then Sivney Jones ends up on the PTP ranch. He’s pregnant, alone, and determined never to trust an alpha ever again after his boyfriend fucked him over. Literally. He’s also a nurse and Palani asks him to take care of Naran. Naran refuses, but Sivney is made of steel and manages to win him over. But when he finds out about the story between Naran and Lev, he decides to bring them back together…until his own feelings get in the way.

Once upon a time, he would’ve stood a chance with an omega like this. But now? He was forty-two years old, still single, with a broken body and zero hope for the future. Sivney reminded him of everything he could never have again, and maybe that hurt even more than his legs.

“Never mind,” Naran said. “You’ll have to do.”

Sivney chuckled. “Well, if that isn’t an enthusiastic embrace of my personality and qualities…”

“It’s as good as it’s gonna get, so you’ll have to settle for it,” Naran snapped.

“Fine by me. First order of business: you need a shower.”

Hell no. He was not undressing in front of Sivney. Abso-fucking-lutely not. Did Sivney really think that Naran would… No. Wasn’t gonna happen.

“Why do I need a shower?” Yup, the petulant child voice was back. When had he become that person?

Sivney came out of the relaxed position he’d been in so far and leaned forward, meeting Naran’s eyes dead on. “Because you smell. Rather strongly.”

Naran’s cheeks heated, something that rarely happened to him. “I don’t care. It’s not gonna bother anyone, because no one else is here.”

“I’m here,” Sivney said, and that friendly tone had a core of titanium. “And it sure as hell bothers me.”

Naran had to respect the omega’s insistence, but that still didn’t mean he was gonna give in. “Still not gonna happen.”

“Why? Because you don’t want me to see you naked? You think I’ve never seen a naked alpha before? I’m five weeks away from delivering a baby, so I’m pretty sure I know how everything works.”
