Every year, the Joyfully Jay Reviews blog does a reading challenge month, and this year is no different. It’s a fun way to challenge yourself to discover new authors, new books, and maybe some new favorites. As an added bonus, you’re also in the race to win some amazing prizes.

Here’s the challenge for each week in September:

• Week 1: New-to-Me Author Week – Try an author you have never read before!
• Week 2: Diverse Books Week – Pick a book that features diverse characters. This can be racial, cultural, or religious diversity; diverse gender or sexual identities; and characters of differing physical abilities.
• Week 3: Judge a Book By Its Cover Week – Choose a book because you love the cover
• Week 4: Older or Younger Hero Week – Pick a book with a hero that is 21 or under OR 40 or over (it can be both, but it doesn’t need to be

How fun does this look? If you haven’t read my books, you could even pick some of mine…

• No Filter has a character with a disability, for example
• Gentle Hand, Firm Hand, Kissing the Teacher, and Shipping the Captain all feature a main character over 40 and an age gap
• And you gotta admit, I have some cool covers too, haha…
