Interview With Bradford Kent

When I asked Brad for an interview, I knew it wouldn’t be the easiest one, and for the first fifteen minutes or so, it wasn’t. But once I stopped asking questions he didn’t want to answer and instead, asked him what he wanted to talk about, we had a fascinating conversation.

You’re a math teacher. Why math?

Math is structured, ordered. It’s predictable and logical. Emotionless. I like that. I was drawn to it in high school when my life… It was chaos. Blake was doing what he could to take care of me and Burke, but Burke was being a total asshole, and Blake had a job and this responsibility for two teenagers. What an amazing day yesterday was, Inauguration Day. I watched the whole swearing in ceremony, and oh my gosh, so many tears. Let’s start with something that wasn’t important but still stood out: the amazing colorful outfits of all the women. They were sparkling and brilliant, and I loved the whole visual.

Lady Gaga was amazing as she sang the National Anthem. And that woman knows how to make an entrance, haha.

The first female black fire captain who did the pledge of allegiance…how amazing that she signed it in ASL at the same time. Such a powerful example of inclusivity.

JLo singing… I’m not a fan of “This Land is My Land’ because of the lyrics, but she did a great job. Very understated. And I loved that she added a few lines from the pledge of allegiance in Spanish. Again. inclusivity.

Kamala Harris taking the oath of office. The first female vice president and a woman of color at that. I cried so hard. And to see it being done by the first Latina Supreme Court Justice. Such a powerful statement.

And then Joe Biden being sworn in. I bawled, I totally did. His speech was good. He’s not the best speaker, but it had so much heart and warmth. Hope.

Indys Männer: No Shame Now Available in German

I’m super excited that the No Shame series has been translated into German. This is the first series I ever wrote, and it’s still special to me, even over three years later… Switching to German now (and German readers: please excuse my mistakes in German!)

Es freut mich richtig, dass die No Shame Reihe auf Deutsch übersetzt wird. Die Reihe war meine erste MM Romance Reihe, und die is mir noch immer sehr na ans Herz. Die Reihe heißt Indys Männer auf Deutsch, und die erste zwei Bücher sind schon erhältlich. Das dritte Buch wird in zwei Wochen veröffentlicht.

What’s Next?

I finished the edits for Click (White House Men 3) earlier this week, and Click will released as planned on Inauguration Day, January 20. A great day on all accounts.

That means it’s time for me to focus on the next project…book four in the White House Men series. I’m already 14k into this story, and this will be a sexy one right from the start. Change of Plan for White House Men Audiobooks
